I’m Shawn McCrea, a Designer & Art Director based in Toronto, Canada. After obtaining a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University in 2007, I travelled the world while continuing to learn and grow as a designer. Visiting almost 50 countries has given me a worldly perspective on life and how I approach my work.

I currently work at The Home Depot Canada, with previous in-house and agency experience including Track DDB and Oliver Agency. The brands I have worked on include McDonalds, Scotiabank, Volkswagen, Chubb Insurance, Fridigaire, The Home Depot, Pirelli and BMW amongst others. Previously I spent 2 years in London, England working for agencies including Saatchi + Saatchi and Bear London, and in-house at Aspect Software.

As a designer, I care about the details. Being naturally organized and efficient lends itself well to spotting those pesky double spaces. The use of white space and simple communication is important to me, as is creating work that will stand the test of time.

I gravitate towards projects that are all-encompassing where I can bring a brand or event to life. I love creating a wide range of work for both print and web. Some recent projects include branding, direct mail, Keynote presentations, animated web banners and front-end web design.
